On behalf of the West Virginia Nurses Association, you are cordially invited to join us January 31, 2018 at the West Virginia State Capitol Complex as we celebrate our 2018 West Virginia Nurses Unity Day: “West Virginia - Why Nurses Should Stay!” We are thrilled to have our Keynote speaker, (a nurse) and West Virginia's first female Fire Chief, Chief Jan Rader.
The Festivities will kick off at 9:00am in the West Virginia Culture Center Great Hall and the event will include recruitment opportunities with various health care facilities from across the state. We will also celebrate a portion of the day in the State Capitol meeting legislators, and learning about the legislative process and the importance of nursing policy protection, formation and passage. Lunch and an award session will be included along with the opportunity for Veteran CEU in the afternoon.
Our objective for this annual event is to communicate a very clear message of why our nurses should remain in West Virginia to serve our citizens in our beautiful state. There is a nationwide nursing shortage and our state is not exempt from this deficit of the most trusted profession in the nation.

We are hopeful you can join us on this great day!
